Yesterday ‘roejaxan’ (read: rujakan) and today ‘nasi goreng jawa‘…

Yesterday, some of us had gathering for ‘roejaxan’ and watching ‘Jomblo’. As the gathering was on Friday and everyone worked on that day, I made the sauce a day earlier. I did it during midnight and might wake my neighbours up as it was so noisy when I tried to break the ‘gula melacca’.. hahaha.. But am kind of proud and satisfied as my friends said the sauce was nice… LOL.. Frankly, I tried a few times when I made the sauce until my tounge could not taste any sugar haha.. Ended up, I only enjoyed the fruits but not touching the sauce at all :)..

Today, cooking contest at GPBB and our family won for ‘nasi goreng jawa’ category.. Frankly, it was kind of rush as Subakti was late but.. teamwork!! We finished on time and won the contest! Yeah… :) After the contest all the participants shared everything on the table. As there were a few versions of ‘nasi goreng’, ‘gado-gado’, ‘mi goreng’ and ‘acar’, we tried a few to compare.. *tried to be judge* :) but.. I guess I failed.. After a few versions of the same food, suddenly, everything becomes similar hahaha…. Am a lousy cooking contest judge –> *declaration* :), but I admire good and delicious food. Hence, do not forget to share and invite me if any festive or party!! :)

"Klik" or Click in English…

It is a movie by Adam Sandler. In summary, it is about a workaholic man who owns a remote control that controls his life. He can skip, fast forward, pause and stop anytime he wants. When he is sick, he skips that period or when he quarels with his wife, he skips. In his life, he puts works over and above his family life. The remote then self-programme to skip whenever he faces the same encounters. As the result, he misses most parts of his life and he passed away. Luckily… it was only a dream!!

I think it is a good movie.. A movie that make us think whether my priority is right. Yes, we will not be able to live without monies and working hard is the answer to promotion and our earnings. But has work become our ‘god’ that makes us prioritise it over and above every other aspect in my life, such as family or even God. Sad to say.. we sometime do…

Most of the time, I told myself that I have no choice and if I do not prioritise work, I will not survive as I work to pay my rent and expenses.. But…, quoting from Miranda in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, the choice is ours to make..

It is our choice in life whether to turn right or left or go straight but of course, asking His guidance is very crucial and our choice should be according to God’s will. As illustrated in ‘Footprints’, we shall worry about nothing in life since God will carry us during our difficult times and He will not leave us as long as we follow His guidance….

In Loving Memory of My Dear Father…

It has been a year since our sudden loss. We thank God for His countless blessings and guidance in going through the difficult times after he departed. It was and is still not easy for us but only time can heal such loss. I personally am very thankful for a great mother we have. She is always there for my bro and I and her love to God has amazed me.

No doubt that we misses him and we will always be… We thank God for the good years we had together and His blessings then, now and forever.

Rest in peace, Pah..
